To opt out of these analytics, there are multiple methods. If you have a Google Account, click in the “Personal info & Privacy” section, and “Manage your Google Activity”. Install an extension on Chrome called “Block Yourself from Analytics”, or install “Google Analytics Opt-Out extension”. Other browsers like Firefox and Safari, interfere with analytics and tracking.

WordPress does not collect any analytics data by default.

How long we retain your data

Personal data that is collected and/or processed by this web site from contact form entries is kept for one year. Analytics records will be kept for three years.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is in order to recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on the website, personal information provided in the user profile will also be stored. All users can see, edit, or delete their own personal information at any time, with the exception of their username. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data held about you, including any data you have provided. You can also request that any personal data held about you be erased. This does not include any data that must be keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Data is stored on Self Care Toolkit servers based in North America and is not shared, except with third-party providers listed above (“Who we share your data with”) with their respective Privacy Policies. If viewing this site outside of the United States, you are consenting to transfer of information outside your home country. Self Care Toolkit is not liable for privacy breaches in transfer.
